In Meditation, by Marie MacIntyre

In meditation I saw twin mountains,
Lush, with a waterfall between,
And below there were green meadows,
All sparkly and green.

In the meadow, lush and verdant,
Jesus and His Apostles were there,
And my husband and I as one,
Joined the group of this One so fair.

I Knelt To Pray, by Marie MacIntyre

I knelt in church,
And prayed to my God above,
To guide me and sustain me,
In his own precious love.

While praying, I felt the presence,
And thanked my God that He,
Did care enough to listen,
To insignificant me.

I prayed that my deeds,
Would show the measure of my love,
And each would be acceptable,
And lead me to God above.

I prayed so hard I cried,
For I needed to feel His touch.
Then I saw Him standing,
This One I love so much.

He held His arms out to me,
And in thought I heard Him say,
"My child, with you I am pleased,
And I hear you when you pray."

Night, by Marie MacIntyre

Father I look out
In the darkness of night
And gaze at the stars
Up in Heaven so bright.

I look at the moon
As it shines up on high,
Surrounded by stars
In a darkened sky.

Many of God's creatures
Are snuggled in bed
As the moon takes its course
In the sky overhead.

Yet many of God's creatures
Come out in the night
And hunt by the beams
Of the moon's waving light.

Whether a day
Or a night creature we be
All praise for creation
Belongs, Lord, with Thee.
