Dad Hopper, by Marie MacIntyre

A dear friend wen t
To our God up above -
But before he went
He learned of God's love.

Through a friend he learned
of God's love so deep,
And she taught him to pray
Before he went to sleep.

He learned of God's love
And he learned of God's care,
I'm sure, because he learned,
God's Kingdom he will share.

Do Not Condemn, by Marie MacIntyre

Father I look at many persons
And the way they speak to Thee,
And sense their deep emotions,
For I feel them here in me.

Some may not seek Thee truly
And see Thee as the only way,
Yet, I cannot condemn them
As I lift my heart and pray.

God comes to all who love him
And many paths lead to Thee.
Let not my eyes be blinded
In the differences I see.

The cross Christ died upon
Meant that he died for me,
And God is here beside me
And I his love do see.
