Christmas 1974, by Marie MacIntyre

With each letter that goes
From my house today,
I send my love,
And my words convey.

How much I care
To be your friend
And with Season's Greetings
My words so end.

The Gates of Heaven, by Marie MacIntyre

Oh, Father, who gives such beauty,
I thank You for this day.
May my thoughts and deeds be faultless,
As I thy teachings obey.

You have given me a bright new morning,
A time to start anew.
A time to stand up and show my worth,
If I want to come up to You.

It's time to stand up and be counted,
And show my colors true.
And when the gates of heaven are opened,
You will welcome me up to You.

Advent, by Marie MacIntyre

Father, I sit here in church
And let my thoughts go to You.
I thank you for Your loving kindness
And for all the things You do.

The glory of Your presence
With joy does fill met heart.
I know to get to Thee,
This is the way to start.

My heart so fills with joy
When I come to Thee,
And I seek to feel the glory
When you come to me.

I come to seek my Master
I know he is the way;
I feel his presence keenly
As I am here today.

Thoughts, by Marie MacIntyre

Father in this quiet time
I thank Thee.
So much you have given
And I praise you, dear Lord,
For of myself, I am nothing
But owe all to you.
So be with me and guide me
For I would come to you.
If my feet falter - I am human
But will try to do better.
Forgive me my tresspasses
And let me be slow to judge others
Who make mistakes.
Let me remember that only you are
faultless.
