Little Child, by Marie MacIntyre

You're far from me, my little child
But not by choice or guile,
Come spend some time in prayer with me
Relax, and rest in me awhile.

I find that you are closest when
You cry or when you smile,
Come stay with me, abide in me
I'll go that last, long mile.

A perfect Lord I am to be
To each dear precious soul,
A healing force, a loving touch
To heal and make you whole.

So be content, love, do your best
Soon you'll be fit to roam
To that wondrous heavenly place
Your soul knows as its' home.
